Fifty-two grade 8 students from five different schools came to visit Or Chaim this past Tuesday. They began with a chabura learning program, led by some of our students under Rabbi Mazer’s direction. After davening mincha, the students viewed a video created by grade 12 students Noam Karakowsky and Ben Gross. The 8s then had a choice of 2 out of 3 activities: clay sculptures in the art room; fitness activities in the gym with Mr. Skarott; or an interactive game with current students. The boys then enjoyed a snack of wings and a dvar torah from Rabbi Spitz. Afterward, many of the grade 8s remarked how friendly and welcoming our students and staff were.
