Over 50 grade 8 families attended this year’s YOC Open House! Or Chaim students warmly welcomed grade 8 students and their parents. The program began with brief presentations from Rabbi Grauer, Roni Perez (’14) and Zev Wiesenthal (grade 12). Rabbi Spitz then presented briefly on recent accomplishments of our grade 12 students. Attendees were impressed with how much our students accomplish! Students and parents then had mock classes with one Judaic Studies teacher and one General Studies teacher. Participants enjoyed the engaging sessions. Parents then attended a panel with administration and a grade 12 student. Grade 8’s viewed a slideshow, introduced by Student Council President Ilan Shields, and then participated in “shmooze q and a” groups with YOC students and staff, followed by a delicious BBQ. Participants enjoyed the engaging sessions and left with a good understanding of all YOC has to offer.
