On Tuesday October 15, YOC grade nine and eleven students participated in an intelligent and engaging literary evening. The students, and many parents, discussed and analysed a book chosen for the summer reading. Grade 9 discussions were led by grade 12 leaders, while teachers facilitated lengthy discussions and debates on characteristics of the novels, such as themes and writing styles. A particular highlight for some students was discussing novels with teachers who do not normally teach literature.
