The grade 12 Shabbaton experience began with our class going paintballing: a thrilling, exciting start to our weekend. A highlight was Rabbi Spitz participating, showing us a different side of our Menahel. During shabbat, we had the perfect opportunity to bond with members of our grade and our school. I particularly enjoyed the shmooze with the English department (Mr. Lazar and Mrs. Kagan) on Shabbat afternoon, while our Shabbat morning learning group with Rabbi Sonenberg and Rabbi Perlmutter was simply inspirational. Overall, it was an unforgettable Shabbaton!

My first YOC shabbaton was a lot of fun – allowing us to spend time out of the classroom with our fellow classmates. I really enjoyed hanging out with my friends and getting to know students in other grades. The singing during shabbat was powerful. The band after shabbat was simply amazing! Thank you to all the Rabbis, administrators and teachers for organizing and accompanying us!
