This past Thursday, grade 9s learned in chabura with the Yeshiva University Torah Mitzion Beit Midrash Zichron Dov. We learned about the reasons why Tu B’Shvat is held during this season and why it is on 15 of Shevat. We explored the connection between the halacha, which is actually found in the Torah, and the date, which is not.
