This week, in honor of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, Student Council planned Olympics related activities all week. To kick off the week, we all sang the Canadian anthem as it played on the intercom system throughout the whole school. Monday was dress as your favourite winter sport day and we had an exciting lunch program. We all gathered in the shul, enjoyed snow cones and had Olympics trivia, organized by Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Weinberg. After the game, we watched a live stream of the men’s moguls and cheered on our fellow Canadians. Tuesday was Canadian pride day and we dressed in all red and white clothing and we had a student-staff hockey game at lunch. We had maple cookies to support Canada. On Wednesday we had exciting Olympics races. Thursday was dress as the country you’re originally from day, and we had an exciting medal ceremony to close off the patriotic week. GO TEAM CANADA!!!!
