The final mishmar focused on reflections from the past year, as well as saying goodbye to Akiva Buckman, who returns to Israel to study at Bar Ilan after his year at Or Chaim as a Shaliach. The incoming mishmar committee co-chairs, David Jesin and David Zarkhine, created a year-end slideshow, as well as video tributes to Akiva. Rabbi Mazer spoke about the impact Akiva has had on the school. In only a year, he added so much to the school’s culture and developed meaningful connections with our students and staff. Students also heard from Outgoing President Erez Dishy and Incoming President Roni Perez. The evening ended with singing and a little dancing.
