On Tuesday, the first day of school, all the girls of Ulpana gathered in the lunchroom for a family oneg. They were divided into various countries, and each country consisted of a few pairs of big sisters, and little sisters. It was a nice event to welcome the students back to school after the vacation, and give everyone a chance to bond with other girls. After doing a little artwork, the girls rewarded themselves with ice cream and cookies. Then, everyone headed up to the shul and had the opportunity to listen to a speech from Rabbi Grauer, and to daven Mincha after that. The grade 12 girls then sang a song to conclude this event.
