Wednesday night was a long-awaited moment in Ulpana history. That evening, women of our community were present for the first-ever musical performed on the first full size stage in Ulpana itself! The musical was Newsies and the cast was brilliant. They sang and danced all night to the delight of the crowd. The dance numbers were thrilling, the singing was beautiful, and the entire experience was not only enjoyable, but very worth repeating for many years to come. A special thank you goes to Ms. Cassandra Carvalho for directing the play and to Shirel Moll for being an integral piece of the play’s direction, organization, and implementation.
