On Tuesday afternoon, the school watched as the Grade 10s presented their YPI projects. YPI is an initiative that grants over one million dollars to social service charities each year. Students in participating schools choose a charity that they research and visit and present their needs to a YPI judge to determine which organization will earn the $5,000 being offered. This year, the Grade 10s presented about JACS Toronto, Zareinu, and Sheena’s Place. Each presentation was well organized, thought provoking, and very informative. Congratulations to Anat Usatinsky, Tehila Amos, and Alyssa Halberstadt for winning $5,000 for Zareinu. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Shari Weinberg for instilling within the grade 10 class the passion for charity and the skills and guidance with which to succeed at this amazing project.
