The evening began with a delicious BBQ, courtesy of chef Shlomo-Eli Schweitzer. Next up was a year-in-review video slideshow, created by Natan Finkelstein. This mishmar was also the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to Avshalom Ben Dalak, YOC’s young shaliach, who is returning to Israel next week. Ben Gross spoke in Ivrit about Avshalom’s impact on the students and Rabbi Mazer and Rabbi Koperwas shared their thoughts as well. Avshalom presented a slideshow of memories as part of his goodbye. The entire school signed a farewell card, created by Ryan Lawton. Following the presentation, Roni Perez reflected on his year as student council president, as well as his memorable four years in Or Chaim. Students then played a Kahoot school trivia game, created by Sammy Newman and Daniel Edery, next year’s co-heads of mishmar. The evening closed with the band playing a few songs.
