Grad dinner was the perfect way to finish off the year. Not only did it give us the opportunity to spend more time with our teachers and friends but it allowed us to hear thoughts from our teachers about us individually. Each student received a tribute from the teacher of their choice, and some teachers even received awards from the students! The night concluded with a presentation of the graduating class throughout the years at Ulpana. The evening was a great success and we greatly appreciated the efforts of all involved

A few nights ago many of our Bnei Akiva faculty and staff gathered together to recognize the graduating class of 2015 from Ulpanat Orot. The setting was quaint and comfortable. The room was exquisitely decorated and the evening was expertly planned. Thanks to Estie Zeifman and Jen Diamond. It was an opportunity for staff and students to exchange kind words, good-humoured affection, and enjoy each other’s company.
The girls arrived unfashionably on time, finely dressed and with four years of memories to brighten their smiles. They spoke with ease and confidence; their faces awash with calm and joy – light in the knowledge that exams were over, high school was over. Their futures lay ahead with almost limitless possibilities thanks to the hard work of these young women. They had no doubt received unconditional support from their families, friends, teachers, and staff members but the majority of the credit for their successes was theirs.
And so they move forward, some in different directions but all together towards a tomorrow of their own design, a community of friends that will endure and sustain them long into their lives. There were no goodbyes, only good wishes. There were tears, but only of happiness. There will be more wonderful things to come for each of them, to be sure. Those of us that stay behind will wait in eager anticipation of any such news.
Good luck and best wishes girls, it was a pleasure to share this evening with you all.
