Both schools held mock election programs. Students learned essentials about Canada’s electoral system. At Ulpana, students read about the various platforms of the different parties on flyers adorning the hallways. At YOC, the Civics class presented various party platforms (ranging from the major parties to the satirical Rhinoceros Party!). UO and YOC students elected a Conservative majority; a bit different than the real results! Thank you to Mr. Teversham and Mr. Lazar for coordinating this valuable learning opportunity for our students.
