Both schools joined together to hear from Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, former Chief Rabbi of the Commonwealth. Rabbi Sacks connected Purim and the creation of the State of Israel. His message was that individuals had great impacts in both cases, whether it was facilitating a meeting between Chaim Weizmann and President Truman; or Esther foiling Haman’s plans.
