YOC’s Purim program began in the gym. Students competed in a soccer shoot-out, won by Armando Abitbol; and a dunk competition, won by Yaakob Bendayan. Thank you to Coby Lyons, Ezra Katzman and Mrs. Ripsman for judging! Next up, the main event: the staff v student game. It was a closely contested match, keeping fans on the edge of their seats from the tip-off until the closing attempted-buzzer-beater shot. In the end, the teachers prevailed by a slight margin – though, perhaps, having ringers on their team gave them the edge they needed. The program closed in the lunchroom with some delicious snacks and an electric performance from YOC’s band. Thank you to everyone who participated!
