On Monday morning Ulpana students were visited by Rabbis from the YU Beit Midrash for a pre-Pesach program. We began by learning in chavrutas from pesach-themed source sheets, discussing the nature of chametz. We identified different grains that may or may not be considered chametz including wheat, oats, rice, and barley. We analyzed the differences in their appearance and nature and demonstrated the scientific proofs for the sources that we learned. Overall the program was enjoyable and heightened our excitement for Pesach.
