On Thursday morning grades nine and ten had the privilege of hearing Mrs. Judy Feld Carr speak and ask her questions about her incredible story. Mrs. Feld Carr is a Torontonian who began and led the unbelievable operation to rescue Syrian Jews that took place over the course of 28 years. Through lots of ransoms, smuggling, dedication and intelligence, Miss Judy (as she is known by those whom she rescued) successfully saved 3,228 Syrian Jews. All of the students were captivated by Mrs. Feld Carr’s inspiring story. Thank you to Mrs. Fixler for preparing the students with background information on Mrs. Feld Carr’s story, and to Mrs. Cohen for arranging the presentation.
