With a small graduating class and a strong fundraising effort, this year’s grade 12 class had a chance to create a really unique trip. The boys traveled to Vancouver, BC. While there, they biked through Vancouver, seeing Granville Island, Stanley Park, Gastown, Chinatown and Athlete’s Village. They ziplined on Grouse Mountain, hiked Lynn Valley and explored the Capilano Suspension Bridge, including learning about native culture at the Kiapalano outdoor Native exhibit. A chessed component of the trip included learning about ecology and plant restoration, helping the maintain the beauty and health of greenery in Stanley Park. Davening and shiurim were integral parts of the trip, with our boys leading davenings, including a spirited Rosh Chodesh davening; Rabbi Spitz leading shiurim and a dvar torah from Rabbi Bitton of the downtown Vancouver Chabbad.
