At the end of the first day of school, grade 9s traveled to Thornhill for a BBQ, hosted by the Shields family. Following a delicious dinner, grade 9s played a “human bingo” game to get to know the grade 12s a little bit better. After that, 12s and 9s paired off to shmooze, with the 12s giving some valuable advice to the 9s about high school and the YOC experience. The evening concluded with dessert, benching and maariv.
