Both schools davened at Ulpana on Wednesday morning to begin celebrations of the 50th Yom Yerushalayim. Yoni Bean (grade 10) led Shacharit and Hallel beautifully. On both sides of the mechitza, there was spirited dancing and singing. Rabbi Rafi Lipner addressed the students, focusing on the magnitude and importance of the day. YOC students then marched back to school and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Various students and staff spoke about what Yerushalayim means to them, including students who were there for the first time on the Shalva trip earlier this year.
