Tu B'shvat 5781

By: Lir Sarah Yissar

Rosh Hashanah was fun but the fun doesn’t end, Because now it’s Tu B’shvat, we celebrate with friends.

Bring your food and gather round, Say Amen and make a sound.

This year may be different but Ulpana makes no excuse, We eat and eat and eat, after all, we are Jews.

Next year in Israel B’H, If we were there now we would be vaccinated with them.

We would be singing songs and planting trees, But since we’re not I created these.

It may not be a real tree,
I grew it out of flour, not soil and sea.

It may not look as good as it tastes, But it’s edible, so we know it won’t go to waste.

It’s my way of celebrating with all of you, So sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
