UO students spent half a day participating in valuable chesed initiatives. The girls really appreciated the opportunity to help in meaningful ways. The program was the perfect way to return from exams and prepare for the second semester.
Chesed initiatives included: sorting donated clothing at New Circles; packaging food for Second Harvest; a Habitat for Humanity Restore project; and cooking meals for Ve’ahavta.
Thank you to Mrs. Gelernter and Mrs. Jakubovic for organizing the day; to Mrs. Munk and Mrs. Klein for opening their homes for cooking; and to Mrs. T Cohen, Mrs. Pituchey Chotam, Mrs. Sonenberg, Ms. New, Mrs. Kestenbaum, Chagit and Noga for chaperoning trips.
