This week in Ms New and Mrs. Sonenberg’s Science class, the grade 9 girls created micro-ecosystems in a beaker. Each group changed one variable to model the effects of various environmental stresses, such as acid rain or road salt, on the health of their ecosystem. They will observe the growth of their ecosystems over the next few weeks and use the data to make some recommendations about how to keep our environment as healthy as possible!
