The theme in Ulpana this year is Respect and in the month of September we are focusing on Respecting Each Other. To kickoff the theme, we had our initial sister program. All the big sisters and little sisters met with each other for the first time and met their extended princess “families” as well. Then they participated in 5 activities where they learned how to empathize, they discussed the importance of privacy, they created a visual for what respect looks like and sounds like, they decorated locker mirrors for each other, and learned to trust each other in a “minefield.” The program ended with t-shirts being handed out with the program’s logo, “#UORESPECTS” and of course there was ice cream to be enjoyed by all.
