YOC Shlomo Katz program

Last Friday after breakfast, the entire Yeshiva gathered in the MPR for a special program with Shlomo Katz. Students were inspired by his words and his reflective exercise. Singing was truly beautiful. Many of our students continued to enjoy Shlomo’s music at his Motzei Shabbat concert. Thank you to Shaarei Shomayim for arranging the visit!

YOC Sock Club

The highly-anticipated first meeting of YOC’s sock club took place this past week. Students spoke about their sock choices and voted on a winner for “best socks of the week.” With weekly e-newsletters, the club heads continue to keep students informed on all the latest sock news. We can wait for the next meeting!

To celebrate Rosh Chodesh last Friday, YOC students gathered in the MPR for a tisch. The singing was enhanced by special guest Elkana Shtamler (last year’s young shaliach). Divrei Torah were shared and kugel was enjoyed.

Ulpana had the unique opportunity to hear from Yahya Mahamid as he told of his journey growing up in an Israeli Arab town that was indoctrinated to hate Israelis. Yahya, an Israeli Arab Zionist, works for Stand With Us and spoke about his inspirational experience in teaching about peace and coexistence in Israel.
