Hot Chocolate and Tefillah Plus

Grade 9 students walked to Earl Bales on a beautiful fall morning this week, and enjoyed a grade-wide davening, special breakfast, and a variety of teambuilding activities, organized by Mrs. Nili Zivan. Students had a great time getting to know each other better out of the usual classroom setting.

UO Sukkot Activities

Student Council, together with the shlichot, prepared a Sukkot/Simchat Torah activity during lunch. The girls played a game on Sukkot trivia and made edible Torahs. Chag Sameach!

On Monday after school, students, parents and faculty held discussion groups on the summer reading choices. Students enjoyed considering literature in a different format and perspective. Co-Curricular Fairs

Both schools held co-curricular fairs, showcasing school clubs and outside-of-school opportunities. Representatives from Chai Lifeline, UJA campaign, Yachad, DANI, Friendship Circle, CJPAC and Shalva had booths at both fairs. UO Rosh Hashana program

The young shlichot ran a program at school in preparation for Rosh Hashana. The girls answered thought provoking questions in a notebook and then had a seudat amen, girls made brachot and everyone answered amen.

YOC Grade 9 Shabbaton

Grade 9 students spent a shabbat at Camp Moshava Ennismore, getting to know each other better. Rabbeim led engaging discussion sessions, a jeopardy game on shabbat afternoon and there was an energetic tisch on Friday night. YOC Tisch

YOC students gathered in the MPR on Friday for the first tisch of the year. Along with some beautiful singing, students heard from Yaakov Rand who spoke about surviving a terrorist shooting in Israel. Students were captivated by his miraculous story and appreciated him sharing his experiences with them.
